1825 N-1 R4 EF45Sharpness close to AU55 and the eye appeal of this cent is excellent, but a glass show microscopic roughness on the cheek and around star 5 plus a speck of carbon in the field before the eye. Glossy light olive brown with frosty luster peeking through in protected areas, especially on the reverse. The only marks are a small, dull nick that flattens the tip of the nose plus several dull, light nicks in the field to the left. The reverse is choice. Sharply struck E-MDS, die state b, with the usual die crack through the base of the date and fine radial die flowlines that cover the fields. A very nice example of a scarce variety that is difficult to find in grades better than VF.Certificate Number: Pedigree: Ex William Murray, 2005 EAC Sale, McCawley & Grellman Auctions 4/23/2005:360-Daniel W.
