Glossy golden tan and medium brown with overtones of light bluish steel on the reverse and traces of mellowed mint red in protected areas. The highpoints are toned a slightly darker shade of steel brown. Satiny mint frost covers the fields and protected areas and this cent has excellent eye appeal. Looks mint state (hence the lofty grade assigned by PCGS), but there is a touch of friction on the highest points of the devices. Nicely struck E-MDS. The fields are just starting to show microscopic radial die flowlines at the dentil tips and there is no trace of fine die rust on the reverse. Graded AU50 by Noyes, his photo #35615. Our grade is AU58. The attribution and Ahumada provenance are noted on the PCGS label. None finer graded at PCGS.
