1821 N-2 R1 PCGS graded AU53Glossy light olive and chocolate brown with lots of underlying lighter brown toning in the protected areas, especially on the obverse. Subtle overtones of light bluish steel cover this cent and the eye appeal is quite nice. No notable defects, only very light wear on the devices and a few microscopic ticks scattered over both sides, none notable. Sharply struck EDS, die state a. The fields are hard and reflective on both sides and the die line from the bust tip is bold. Called EF45 in the Noyes census, his photo #36212. Our grade is EF45 as well. A premium example of a date that is difficult to find in high grade. AUCTION TERMS OF SALE
1. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer. In case of dispute the auctioneer may at his sole discretion reopen a lot. In all cases the auctioneer’s decision shall be final and binding on bidders.
2. The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse to honor any bid which, at his sole discretion, he feels is not submitted in good faith. The auctioneer may withdraw any lot, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever.
3. All sales are payable in U. S. funds immediately upon receipt of invoice unless other arrangements have been made prior to the sale. Lots will not be released to buyers until paid for in full. Lots delivered in state of sale are subject to all applicable state and local taxes unless appropriate permits are on file with us.
4. Postage will be added to the invoice of all successful mail bidders.
5. A 20% buyer’s fee will be added to all invoices.
6. Please keep in mind this is not an approval sale. All sales are considered final. Sales to the floor may not be returned for any reason save authenticity. Sales to mail bidders are final unless lot proves to have been mis-described.
7. Lots will be available for viewing during the Houston Money Show bourse hours January 17, 2020 and by appointment.

Lots will open at one increment above second highest mail/phone bidder.
