1820 N-6 R4 Small Date, PCGS graded MS63 BrownChoice frosty medium brown and chocolate with underlying lighter steel brown and tan faded down from mint color showing through in the protected areas. Looks mint state to the unaided eye but there is light friction evident on the highpoints. Mint luster shows in the fields and protected areas and the surfaces are choice, void of marks or other defects. Nicely struck MDS with fine radial die flowlines from the dentils.. Called AU55 choice and tied for CC#1 in the Noyes census, his photo #21127. Bland says AU55 and tied for finest known honors among the confirmed examples. Our grade is AU55+.Certificate Number: 36694.63/13053246Pedigree: Ex Judge Joseph Sawicki, Stack's 2/27/1954:642-Willard C. Blaisdell (via Del Bland) 9/1976-R. E.
