Frosty light olive and steel. Satiny mint luster covers the fields and protected areas and this cent has mint state eye appeal in spite of a hint of rub on the highest points of the portrait. Just a few trivial marks including a small spot of darker toning (not carbon) under the 9, a tiny tick midway between the chin and star 2, and some ticks along the edge of the nose. MDS. There is a faint die crack from the lower edge of the bust towards star 1 and the repunching at the right top of the N in UNITED is still clear. Graded AU55 net AU50 and tied for CC#7 in the Noyes census, his photo #25227. Our grade is AU50 but this cent has solid mint state eye appeal. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS Gold Shield label.
