Lustrous light steel brown. Satiny and very attractive with just a light touch of friction on the highest points of the devices. Just a few minor marks including a tiny scratch on the throat, a nick-like planchet void under the right point of star 12, and a couple ticks under the right side of star 7. The rim on the obverse is a bit uneven thanks to the late die state, and the impression on that side has the look of a "broadstrike." LDS, Grellman state c. The bottom of the C in CENT is gone as are nearly all of the dentils due to die wear and lapping. At the lower end of the condition census. Removed from a PCGS holder graded MS62BN (PCGS label #36655.62/32847895 included, and it shows the attribution and Twin Leaf Collection provenance). This is the Wright plate coin for the variety and it comes with a nice provenance.

AUCTION TERMS OF SALE
1. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer. In case of dispute the auctioneer may at his sole discretion reopen a lot. In all cases the auctioneer’s decision shall be final and binding on bidders.
2. The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse to honor any bid which, at his sole discretion, he feels is not submitted in good faith. The auctioneer may withdraw any lot, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever.
3. All sales are payable in U. S. funds immediately upon receipt of invoice unless other arrangements have been made prior to the sale. Lots will not be released to buyers until paid for in full. Lots delivered in state of sale are subject to all applicable state and local taxes unless appropriate permits are on file with us.
4. Postage will be added to the invoice of all successful mail bidders.
5. A 20% buyer’s fee will be added to all invoices.
6. Please keep in mind this is not an approval sale. All sales are considered final. Sales to the floor may not be returned for any reason save authenticity. Sales to mail bidders are final unless lot proves to have been mis-described.
7. Lots will be available for viewing during the Houston Money Show bourse hours January 17, 2025 and by appointment.
