1818 N-6 R1 PCGS graded MS63 Brown, CAC ApprovedFrosty light brown with darker steel brown on the obverse highpoints. Looks mint state, and the eye appeal is quite nice, but a glass reveals a hint of rub on the highest points of the devices. Just a few minor defects including a spot of very shallow carbon on the chin just below the mouth and another in the hair below the R in LIBERTY. Late die state, state c, similar to the preceding lot. The dentils on the reverse are weak or missing, dull parallel die lines pass through ICA in AMERICA, and the lump inside the C in AMERICA is gone. Called AU55 and tied for CC#10 in the Noyes census, his photo #21568. Our grade is AU55.Certificate Number: 36616.63/13092033Pedigree: Ex New Netherlands Coin Co. #50, 1957:1371-Dr. James O.
