Sharpness EF45 but lightly corroded with stronger corrosion at the bottom of the reverse. There are traces of crusty reddish verdigris on both sides, mostly at stars 3-5 and OF AMERICA. The details are sharp, one of the three sharpest examples known of the variety, and the eye appeal of the obverse is certainly decent. Dark grayish steel and olive brown. The only significant contact marks are some light scratches at stars 3 & 4 where an attempt was made to remove some of the reddish scale. LDS, Grellman state d early. The obverse fields are swollen and the radial crack through star 3 is strong. Graded EF45 net F15 and tied for CC#7 honors in the Noyes census, his photo #61896.
