1818 N-2 R4+ PCGS graded MS62 BrownFrosty medium chocolate and lighter bluish steel with reddish tan faded down from mint color in protected areas on the obverse. The fields on the reverse are covered with attractive satiny mint luster. The only mark is a thin, light diagonal nick on the nose before the bottom of the eye. M-LDS, die state g, with a strong radial die crack to the dentils from the junction of the U & N in UNITED, and the section between the two radial cracks at NIT is rising as a retained cud, strongest on its left end. A rare intermediate die state and a very attractive example of this tough die variety. Called AU50 and tied for CC#1 in the Noyes census, his photo #21829. Bland says AU50 and tied for CC#2. Our grade is AU50.Certificate Number: 36604.62/13094358Pedigree: Ex Del Bland 10/1973-Dr. Robert J. Shalowitz-C. Douglas Smith 5/1976-R. E.
