1818 N-2 R4+ PCGS graded AU58Choice glossy medium chocolate brown with frosty lighter steel brown and tan in protected areas. The surfaces are smooth and this cent has outstanding eye appeal. The only defects are a thin nick or pre-striking planchet void over the E in CENT with a larger one over that T, plus a well hidden pinscratch at the dentil tips over the D in UNITED. MDS, die state d, with an additional die crack up to the dentils from the earlier crack at UNITED-S just left of that S. The crack through the tops of UNITED is stronger but the radial crack to the dentils from the junction of the U & N has not formed. Called EF45 and tied for CC#3 in the Noyes census, his photo #21255. Bland says EF45 as well but tied for CC#4 in his list. AUCTION TERMS OF SALE
1. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer. In case of dispute the auctioneer may at his sole discretion reopen a lot. In all cases the auctioneer’s decision shall be final and binding on bidders.
2. The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse to honor any bid which, at his sole discretion, he feels is not submitted in good faith. The auctioneer may withdraw any lot, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever.
3. All sales are payable in U. S. funds immediately upon receipt of invoice unless other arrangements have been made prior to the sale. Lots will not be released to buyers until paid for in full. Lots delivered in state of sale are subject to all applicable state and local taxes unless appropriate permits are on file with us.
4. Postage will be added to the invoice of all successful mail bidders.
5. A 20% buyer’s fee will be added to all invoices.
6. Please keep in mind this is not an approval sale. All sales are considered final. Sales to the floor may not be returned for any reason save authenticity. Sales to mail bidders are final unless lot proves to have been mis-described.
7. Lots will be available for viewing during the Houston Money Show bourse hours January 17, 2020 and by appointment.

Lots will open at one increment above second highest mail/phone bidder.
