1818 N-2 R4+ EF45Frosty tan and light steel brown with hints lighter golden tan faded down from mint color in protected areas. The fields and protected areas are satiny and lustrous, and this cent has very nice eye appeal. Would rate a higher grade but there is a dull rim bruise at star 7. Otherwise this cent is choice and the strike is sharp. M-LDS, die state f, with strong die cracks at UNITED and a partially raised retained cud break over NIT. A wonderful example of this rare intermediate die state. Graded AU50 net EF45 andCC#3 in the Noyes census for the variety, his photo #27777. Comes with a nice provenance that is approaching a century old.Certificate Number: Pedigree: Ex William Festus Morgan, J. C.
