Frosty light bluish steel brown with generous traces of mellowed mint red showing, mostly on the reverse. The surfaces are satiny and the eye appeal of this cent is excellent. The only notable marks are a small planchet chip on the rim at star 3 and a spot of darker olive brown toning (not carbon) off the left end of the line below CENT. LDS with a fully formed "Mouse" break on the top of the head below the left side of star 8. The little (but here cherished) rodent on this die variety actually looks like its namesake with the head to the left, body to the right followed by a short tail. A great mate to the preceding lot. Our grade is MS63. One of the finest "Mouse Top" 1817 cents known. Comes with a nice provenance. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label.
