Lustrous mint red fading to steel brown and light chocolate on the devices with nearly a third of the mint color remaining, mostly on the reverse. The surfaces are satiny and nearly flawless, and this cent has great eye appeal. The only notable marks are a tiny, very light rim bruise between stars 11 & 12 and a swipe of slightly darker toning close below star 6. E-MDS. The dentils are complete around both sides and the "Mouse" break on top of the head has not formed. Graded MS63 and tied for CC#2 in the Bland census. Noyes says MS60, his photo #29267. Our grade is MS63. A great cent, one of only two graded MS RB at PCGS (both are in this sale and this piece has far more mint color). The attribution and Ahumada provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
