Choice lustrous medium brown with slightly darker steel brown toning on the highpoints. A beautiful cent with solid mint state eye appeal, but there is a hint of friction on the highest points of the portrait. The best identifying marks are a tiny streak of darker toning down from the lower right point of star 8 and a small spot of similar toning over star 11. Nicely struck E-MDS showing radial lines in all the stars and very fine radial die flowlines in the fields. The repunching on the left base of the N in ONE is strong and most of the dentils on the reverse are visible. Our grade is AU58. A beautiful cent that comes with an important provenance. The attribution and Widok Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
