1817 N-15 R4- PCGS graded MS63 Brown, CAC ApprovedGlossy olive brown and steel with frosty light golden brown and tan in protected areas, especially on the reverse where the lighter toning is dominant. Faint hints of very faded mint color can be found with a glass. A sharp, attractive cent that has mint state eye appeal, but there is a hint of rub on the highest points of the devices and a few microscopic marks. The notable marks are a tick under the chin, a light rim nick at star 10, and a faint hairline right of the D in UNITED. None of these marks is visible to the unaided eye. Graded MS60 and tied for CC#2 in 2001 and AU55 tied for CC#5 now by Noyes, his photo #27184. Bland says AU55 and tied for CC#3. Our grade is AU58.Certificate Number: 36592.63/30809079Pedigree: Ex Mrs. H. C. Fischer 1/1963-Louis Helfenstein-C. Douglas Smith-Herman Halpern, Stack's 3/16/1988:350-John J.
