1817 N-12 R3 PCGS graded MS63 BrownThe obverse is glossy light tan faded down from mint color while the reverse is lustrous mint red mellowing to light steel brown, more than half the red remaining. The only marks are a few small spots of chocolate brown toning, including one at star 12 and another touching the hair under star 8. E-MDS but slightly later than the preceding lot. A fine radial die crack now extends down to the dentils from star 1. The upper part of the hair buns and opposing leaves under IC in AMERICA are softly struck, as always on this variety. Called MS60 and tied for CC#1 in the Bland census. Noyes says MS60 net AU55 and tied for CC#2, his photo #21307. Our grade is MS60, but the reverse rates an MS63 grade. AUCTION TERMS OF SALE
1. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer. In case of dispute the auctioneer may at his sole discretion reopen a lot. In all cases the auctioneer’s decision shall be final and binding on bidders.
2. The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse to honor any bid which, at his sole discretion, he feels is not submitted in good faith. The auctioneer may withdraw any lot, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever.
3. All sales are payable in U. S. funds immediately upon receipt of invoice unless other arrangements have been made prior to the sale. Lots will not be released to buyers until paid for in full. Lots delivered in state of sale are subject to all applicable state and local taxes unless appropriate permits are on file with us.
4. Postage will be added to the invoice of all successful mail bidders.
5. A 20% buyer’s fee will be added to all invoices.
6. Please keep in mind this is not an approval sale. All sales are considered final. Sales to the floor may not be returned for any reason save authenticity. Sales to mail bidders are final unless lot proves to have been mis-described.
7. Lots will be available for viewing during the Houston Money Show bourse hours January 17, 2020 and by appointment.

Lots will open at one increment above second highest mail/phone bidder.
