1817 N-11 R1 PCGS graded MS65 BrownSuperb lustrous medium steel brown and olive with about 25% of both sides covered with mellowing mint red. Mint frost covers this cent and the eye appeal is outstanding. The surfaces are nearly flawless. A tiny vertical nick in the field close off the end of the nose and faint traces of a fingerprint at stars 11-12 can help identify this cent. E-MDS, die state a late, with fine radial die flowlines in the fields but all the dentils are clear. Our grade is MS64. Not seen by Noyes or Bland but finer (in our opinion) than the top coin in both census lists. A new discovery from England. Must have been very close to receiving an "RB" designation from PCGS.Certificate Number: 36580.65/38208004Pedigree: Ex London Coinex 10/2011-Andrew Lustig 11/17/2011-Douglas F.
