Attractive frosty steel brown and medium chocolate. Smooth and nearly flawless; a small spot of lighter toning at a shallow planchet flake in the field under star 4 and a spot of darker toning left of the O in OF are the notable marks. LDS. The narrow rim cud at star 3 is barely visible due to the improper centering. The reverse is centered on the planchet but the obverse is badly misaligned to K-6. In addition it appears that this cent failed to eject completely from the coining chamber before another planchet was inserted slightly overlapping this one. The strike on the second planchet created a beveled clip affecting the 7 and star 13 on this cent. The reverse, however, was not affected and it looks completely normal. An attractive cent showing two unusual types of mint error.
