Lustrous dark steel brown with lighter brown in the field before the neck. Satiny mint frost covers the fields on both sides and this cent has very nice eye appeal. Just a hint of friction on the highpoints. The best identifying mark is a light nick on the left side of the N in UNITED. VLDS, Breen state IV, with strong die flowlines, especially strong on the obverse. Struck from misaligned dies causing weakness at stars 5-7 and the opposing area at UNIT and the lower part of the ribbon (which is common on the die state). Graded AU50 net EF45 and tied for CC#12 in the Noyes census, his photo #33383. Our grade is AU55. 1570.62/46408051 Ex Thomas D. Reynolds-W. M. "Jack" Wadlington-Thomas D. Reynolds
