1810 S-283 R2 PCGS graded MS64 BrownBeautiful lustrous bluish steel and light olive brown. Sharply struck with satiny surfaces and very sharp details. Just a few trivial marks including a nick near the dentils under star 1, a speck of dark crud at the curl over the Y, and a swipe of dark toning at the right bottom of the second S in STATES. Otherwise this cent is choice. Graded MS61 and tied for CC#1 in the Bland census. Noyes says MS60 and tied for CC#1, his photo #21881. Our grade is MS60+. The other mint state example is a later die state that has rather mushy details due to die wear. A great cent that comes with a really nice provenance.Certificate Number: 36478.64/61275953Pedigree: Ex Henry C. Hines-Homer K.
