Date: 1804Light greenish olive blended with lighter and darker olive tones on the reverse. The reverse was lightly cleaned causing the lighter highpoints. The gloss on the obverse is subdued by a thin layer of oxidation. Could use a bit of TLC to improve the eye appeal in this cataloger's opinion, but the graders at PCGS loved it as is (hence the AU58 grade). The only notable mark is a shallow planchet flake in the field above the upper end of the hair ribbon (as struck). LDS, Manley state 2.0, Fuhrman state 2, with a strong die crack through the second T in STATES and swelling to the right of the crack. This is the Manley plate coin for the variety and for his die state 2.0. Graded EF40 by Noyes, his photo #73459. Our grade is EF40 net VF35. One of the finest seen in the late die state.1069.58/21288050
