Light olive brown and chocolate. Rather frosty but a bit dull from oxidation. There are microscopic traces of extremely fine greenish verdigris in protected areas. Looks as if a proper brushing could bring the surfaces back to life. There are a few marks including a small spot of very fine carbon on the right side of the E in LIBERTY plus some nicks on the forehead and in the field to the right. Sharply struck MDS, Breen state IV, with die cracks on both sides. Graded EF45 net EF40 and tied for CC#9 in the Noyes census, his photo #58571. Our grade is EF40+ net VF35. (The slab is scuffed on both sides.) 1482.50/21182043
