Date: 1803Frosty golden tan and steel brown, the reverse a few shades lighter than the obverse. Very attractive with just a light touch of friction on the devices. A few trivial marks visible under magnification including a tiny speck of light reddish corrosion tucked against the lower curls and subtle hints of light reddish steel toning scattered over the reverse. LDS, Manley state 5.0, Fuhrman state 5, with die cracks on both sides and obvious swelling at the 18. Softly struck at the upper left of the wreath, as usual in the late die state. Struck with the reverse rotated 45 degrees clockwise. Graded EF45 by Noyes, his photo #10097. Our grade is EF45+, close to AU50.1060.58/20353535Ex Thomas D. Reynolds (includes the Reynolds sales envelope)

AUCTION TERMS OF SALE
1. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer. In case of dispute the auctioneer may at his sole discretion reopen a lot. In all cases the auctioneer’s decision shall be final and binding on bidders.
2. The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse to honor any bid which, at his sole discretion, he feels is not submitted in good faith. The auctioneer may withdraw any lot, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever.
3. All sales are payable in U. S. funds immediately upon receipt of invoice unless other arrangements have been made prior to the sale. Lots will not be released to buyers until paid for in full. Lots delivered in state of sale are subject to all applicable state and local taxes unless appropriate permits are on file with us.
4. Postage will be added to the invoice of all successful mail bidders.
5. A 15% buyer’s fee will be added to all invoices.
6. Please keep in mind this is not an approval sale. All sales are considered final. Sales to the floor may not be returned for any reason save authenticity. Sales to mail bidders are final unless lot proves to have been mis-described.
7. Lot viewing due to COVID-19 not available for this auction.
8. Mail bids, or phone bids will be accepted up through the day of the sale. Please direct email bids to kevin@indeetlib.com. All bids will be reduced. Lots will open at one increment above second highest mail/phone bidder.
