1801 S-222 R1 EF45Frosty medium brown and chocolate with hints of reddish tan faded down from mint color in protected areas on the reverse. A sharp, very attractive cent. The only defect is some shallow crud hidden in the hair near the forehead. Otherwise very close to AU50. Sharply struck EDS, Breen state I, before the narrow rim cud at IB. The fields are smooth and there are no die clashmarks on either side. Graded EF45 and tied for CC#6 in the Bland census. Noyes says EF45 net EF40 and tied for CC#6, his photo #25921. Well struck for the variety.Certificate Number: Pedigree: Ex Henry Chapman (via Miss Ella Wright) 11/27/1937-Judge Thomas L. Gaskill-New Netherlands Coin Co (privately) 11/1956-Dorothy I.
