1800 S-207 R3 F15At least 5 points sharper but there are some contact marks on otherwise smooth, attractive surfaces. The notable marks are a relatively strong nick under the earlobe, a couple rim nicks over the E in LIBERTY, and some very fine hairline scratches across the face. Only the nick below the earlobe catches your eye. Glossy steel brown and chocolate with lighter brown on the left side of the obverse. Extremely rare TDS, Breen state V, with a huge retained cud break that virtually obliterates RICA and most of the denominator. The opposing details at IBERTY are severely weakened because the cud used up most of the planchet metal. Graded F15 Choice and finest of the terminal die state in the Noyes census, his photo #21804. The second finest example is impounded in the ANS Collection. This is the Noyes plate coin for the variety in his 1991 reference. A showpiece coin for anyone who loves significant die states; one of the most impressive cud breaks on any large cent.Certificate Number: Pedigree: Ex Lohr-Stack's auction-Eugene Exman-Dorothy I.
