1800 NC-3 R5+ G4Glossy chocolate brown with smooth surfaces except for an obvious planchet void or rough dent in the hair right of the hair ribbon. Otherwise just minor contact marks, mostly light rim bruises. MDS with the usual swelling at the lower curls. The date and legends are clear except for weakness at STA thanks to the swelling; the diagnostic spike up from the top of the I in AMERICA is obvious. Graded G5 net G4 by Noyes, his photo #26207. Not the most valuable cent in this collection, but one of the most meaningful.Certificate Number: Pedigree: Identified as a rare die variety in April 1976 after residing for four years in Fred's date set. Coveted by Jules Reiver but never surrendered.
