1798 S-169 R3 Style II Hair, Small 8, PCGS graded AU50Glossy steel brown and chocolate with frosty tan covering the protected areas. Smooth with light friction on the devices and just a couple minor contact marks: a couple faint hairlines in the field under the hair ribbon, a tiny rim nick right of the date, and another more noticeable rim nick at the U in UNITED. M-LDS, Breen state IV. The bulge above LIBERTY is clear and reaches to the dentil tips off the nose. Graded EF40 and tied for CC#5 in the Bland census. Noyes says EF45 net EF40 and tied for CC#4, his photo #26423. Our grade is EF40+. A very attractive cent, another repatriated piece out of England.Certificate Number: 36077.50/61275943Pedigree: Found in England 8/1976-Michael Sherman-James R. McGuigan 6/1983-Fred H.
