Lustrous medium brown and light chocolate with a faint hint of reddish brown in the mix. The fields on the obverse are smooth and slightly reflective and this cent has excellent eye appeal. Just a few flaws including a small planchet chip over the hair ribbon, a low spot above the N in ONE (caused by debris or lubricant on the die), and a small planchet chip on the 1 in the denominator. The obverse is beautiful and reasonably well struck but the lower part of the wreath is a bit weak. LDS, Breen state V, with finely doubled die clashmarks, clearest at ES-O. The edge of the planchet is beaded from K-2 to K-8 (relative to the obverse). Noyes graded MS60, his photo #36611. Most likely from the Nichols Hoard of mint state cents. A wonderful date coin or example of the Draped Bust type.
