Date: 1797Frosty medium brown and light chocolate with a few small splashes of lighter brown and tan on the reverse. The surfaces are smooth and satiny except for some tiny planchet imperfections in the weakly struck areas. Just a couple light contact marks including a fine diagonal scratch on the face and another in the field under the chin. Lightly worn with excellent eye appeal. Struck over a cut-down 1794 TAL Cent with New York. Most of NEW YORK is still visible from the top of the cap to RT in LIBERTY. LDS, Manley state 5.0, with obvious die failure on both sides. RTY and the opposing area at RICA are very weakly struck. A neat piece that has excellent eye appeal. Graded EF40 by Noyes, his photo #73553. Our grade is net EF40+. The 1 Above 1 feature is noted on the PCGS label. (The holder is scuffed on the front.)1042.53/21288047
