Date: 1796Several points sharper but there are three small pits at the L in LIBERTY and about a dozen more on the reverse. These pits contain light green verdigris. Otherwise the surfaces are smooth and quite nice for the grade. The only other marks are light vertical hairline scratches on the face, a minor rim bruise at the I in LIBERTY, and a dig at the feet of RI in AMERICA. Glossy medium chocolate with lighter steel brown highpoints. LDS, Breen state III, with a slightly raised but very large retained cud break at the back of the portrait. Graded net VG7 by Bland. Noyes says F15 sharpness net VG7, his photo #28232. Removed from a PCGS holder as VF Details, Scratch (PCGS label #35831.95/28659343 included, and it shows the attribution).
