Frosty medium to dark steel and olive brown. A lightly worn cent that was unevenly struck, which is typical for the variety, with significant weakness at the bottom of the obverse and top of the reverse. No corrosion or notable contact marks, but there are numerous tiny chips or planchet imperfections on both sides, and some of the chips on the neck have been lightly smoothed. A collection of microscopic chips or pits off the end of the left stem can help identify this cent. MDS, Breen state II, with a die crack down through the curls to the shoulder and light die clashmarks on the obverse. Graded EF45 net VF25 and tied for CC#19 in the Noyes census, his photo #37438. Bland says EF40 net VF30 and tied for CC#10. Our grade is EF40 net VF30. Comes with a very nice provenance. The attribution and Boka provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
