1794 S-43 R2 Head of 1794 PCGS graded MS62 BrownChoice frosty light to medium brown. Very sharp and about as close to flawless as you will find on a 1794 cent. Just a hint of light friction on the highest points of the devices and virtually void of marks. The only "defects" are a few microscopic planchet chips in the field at ERTY and before the face and a thin, light nick on the throat. None of these imperfections are visible to the unaided eye. Sharply struck E-MDS, Breen state II, Heck state 2, with a couple very fine die cracks on the obverse and a very fine crack from the dentils to the bottom of the U in UNITED. In addition there is a fine but incomplete double profile from the forelock to the chin, a rather common feature on this variety. A truly choice cent; our grade is EF45+, close to AU50.Certificate Number: 35594.62/57538488Pedigree: Ex Arthur Sargent, S. H.
