Glossy light olive and chocolate brown with some subtle puffs of darker olive brown toning in the obverse fields. The surfaces are smooth except for a bit of extremely faint roughness around ERICA to the denominator. No verdigris. The notable marks are some hairline scratches lost in the toning on the portrait, a rim nick or planchet chip off the right top of the Y, and a small flake near the rim below the right edge of the fraction. E-MDS, Breen state II, with a single set of die clashmarks. The dies were axially misaligned (the die faces were not perfectly parallel) causing minor weakness in the dentils before the portrait and the opposing legend at ERICA to the fraction. Everything else is complete and clear. Our grade is F15 net F12+. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label.

AUCTION TERMS OF SALE
1. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer. In case of dispute the auctioneer may at his sole discretion reopen a lot. In all cases the auctioneer’s decision shall be final and binding on bidders.
2. The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse to honor any bid which, at his sole discretion, he feels is not submitted in good faith. The auctioneer may withdraw any lot, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever.
3. All sales are payable in U. S. funds immediately upon receipt of invoice unless other arrangements have been made prior to the sale. Lots will not be released to buyers until paid for in full. Lots delivered in state of sale are subject to all applicable state and local taxes unless appropriate permits are on file with us.
4. Postage will be added to the invoice of all successful mail bidders.
5. A 15% buyer’s fee will be added to all invoices.
6. Please keep in mind this is not an approval sale. All sales are considered final. Sales to the floor may not be returned for any reason save authenticity. Sales to mail bidders are final unless lot proves to have been mis-described.
