Double struck over a Connecticut copper. Sharpness at least VF35 with smooth, absolutely choice surfaces and color but there is an obvious deep dent at AR in CAESAREA. Glossy medium brown with chocolate toning tight around the devices. Rare early die state before either die cracked. The reverse shows clear evidence of a double strike. Portions of the host Connecticut copper show on both sides. The obverse is slightly misaligned to K-6.5 leaving the bottom of the date tight to the edge. Comes with another great provenance. Weight 142.6 grains.
