Frosty medium brown with a thin streak of darker brown toning through CO in CONNEC. The planchet is mostly smooth with just a bit of chipping on the neck and the chest of the seated figure. The left edges are softly struck, as usual, and more obvious chipping shows along the rim over AUCTORI and the opposing area from the date around to the top of the bouquet. Later die state with die cracks and swelling on both sides. The 1 in the date is obliterated by strong swelling at the feet of the seated figure but the 787 are clear. Struck slightly off center to K-5. The Hall attribution was added on the edge. A condition census example of this tough variety and it comes with a nice provenance. Weight 118.7 grains.
