Technical grade is EF40 but the strike is uneven, quite weak at the bottom of the obverse and the opposing area at the top of the reverse. The surfaces are smooth except for the usual tiny chips that cover the centers and weakly struck areas. Otherwise the only defects are a small lamination in the field before the face of the seated figure and a minor rim bruise at the B in LIB. Struck slightly off center to K-6. The date is bold and the legends are strong. Later die state with strong swelling on the bust and below AUC, but the die crack to the right top of the O in CONNEC is not strong. Weight 131.0 grains.

AUCTION TERMS OF SALE
1. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer. In case of dispute the auctioneer may at his sole discretion reopen a lot. In all cases the auctioneer’s decision shall be final and binding on bidders.
2. The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse to honor any bid which, at his sole discretion, he feels is not submitted in good faith. The auctioneer may withdraw any lot, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever.
3. All sales are payable in U. S. funds immediately upon receipt of invoice unless other arrangements have been made prior to the sale. Lots will not be released to buyers until paid for in full. Lots delivered in state of sale are subject to all applicable state and local taxes unless appropriate permits are on file with us.
4. Postage will be added to the invoice of all successful mail bidders.
5. A 20% buyer’s fee will be added to all invoices.
6. Please keep in mind this is not an approval sale. All sales are considered final. Sales to the floor may not be returned for any reason save authenticity. Sales to mail bidders are final unless lot proves to have been mis-described.
7. Lots will be available for viewing during the Houston Money Show bourse hours January 17, 2020 and by appointment.

Lots will open at one increment above second highest mail/phone bidder.
