Sharpness at least EF40 where properly struck up but the right half of both sides is very weakly struck (perhaps thanks to the thin planchet). No corrosion or verdigris but both sides are covered with myriad fine scratches. Frosty medium olive brown and steel with lighter reddish brown toning in protected areas. Late die state with swelling at UCT and a clear diagonal die crack through the E in ET into the seat where it fades away. The date is sharp and the legends are bold on the left sides where the strike was strong. In fact those details are at least comparable to what you see on the finest known Miller plate coin (Ford part IX:286). The Hall attribution is noted in white ink in the field before the portrait. Weight only 67.5 grains. Comes with a nice provenance.
