Mostly glossy medium brown and light chocolate. The highpoints are smooth but microscopic planchet chips cover much of the fields and protected areas on both sides, especially on the reverse. The planchet flaws are strongest right of the I in AUCTORI. None of the flaws is significant but there are too many to ignore. The date and legends are easily readable. Struck marginally off center to the top causing the bottom of the date to be slightly off the planchet. The attribution is noted in yellow ink in the field off the chin as 37-12/k'5. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. (The holder is scuffed on the obverse.)
