Rather glossy dark olive brown with lighter steel brown on the highpoints of the reverse. Mostly smooth but there is moderate corrosion behind the head, strongest at NNEC. Minor planchet chips show on both sides, mostly on the seated figure. Struck from a very late state of the dies, the latest seen, with a severely blunted and clashed obverse and strong die cracks at the top of the reverse. The incuse clashmarks before the obverse portrait are bold. The date and legends on the reverse are bold as well. A die state that has to be graded favoring the reverse. One of the finer examples seen. Weight 130.6 grains.
