Choice glossy medium brown blending to light chocolate in protected areas on the obverse. A beautiful early copper with trivial planchet flaws; a tiny fissure below the right corner of the eye and microscopic chips on the legs of the seated figure are the only flaws visible without the aid of a glass. Light wear and no contact marks, but there is a trace of verdigris hidden in protected areas around the hand below E in INDE. Slightly off center to K-7. Intermediate die state with cracks on both sides. Superior to the Miller-Ford, Perkins, and Taylor examples; clearly a condition census example of the variety. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label.
