Glossy chocolate brown and steel. Smooth and quite nice for the grade, just worn. The only defects are a bit of dirt caked around the E in ET and a tiny planchet lamination off the left top of that letter. Late die state with a bold horizontal die crack bisecting the obverse through the end of the nose. The fields above the crack are clearly lower than the fields below, particularly behind the head. This variety is graded from the reverse since there isn't much detail left on the obverse die. The "Snipe Nose" feature is bold. Struck with the reverse slightly misaligned to the bottom leaving the bottom of the date off the planchet. The attribution, "Snipe Nose" feature, and Twin Leaf provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
