Variety with a punctuated date (17,87) and INDE over IODE. Glossy dark olive brown and steel with lighter steel brown toning on the devices. Covered with fine granularity that's rather well hidden under the toning. A small planchet chip or pit in the center of the neck is the best identifying mark. Late die state with strong clashmarks at IN in INDE. The date is bold, the "comma" between the 17 and 87 is strong, and the INDE over IODE error is clear. Not perfect but still one of the finer examples known of this tough variety. Weight 140.4 grains. The attribution and Twin Leaf provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
