An ET LIR variety. Slightly glossy medium brown and steel with darker reddish chocolate along the rim at the top of the reverse. Mostly smooth but there are many planchet chips on the face and at the head of the seated figure--a result of both areas being softly struck. Another planchet void shows near the rim left of the date. Slightly off center to K-7 leaving the bottom edge of the bust off the planchet. The date is strong. Late die state with strong die cracks at IR to right of the date. The ET LIR feature is bold. Weight 135.4 grains. The attribution and Robert M. Martin Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
