Glossy medium brown and light chocolate with specks of dark olive brown toning in the tiny planchet flakes that are scattered over both sides. The largest planchet flaw is on the chest of the seated figure. Flowline luster shows in the fields and protected areas on the obverse; the reverse is dull in comparison. No contact marks and very little actual wear. More centered on the planchet than the Ford and Perkins coins but the bottom of the date is still off the planchet. Late die state with extensive cracks and swelling. A condition census example and a neat die state. Weight 140.3 grains. Comes with a nice provenance. The attribution and Robert M. Martin Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
