Glossy light brown and mahogany with puffs of lighter golden brown on both sides. Probably retoned but the eye appeal is nice. The surfaces are smooth except for minor chipping on the cheek and the lower part of the seated figure. The only notable mark is a light scratch on the legs, and it does not catch your eye. Softly struck on the face, as usual on this variety, and off center to the top leaving most of the date and parts of the legend off the planchet. The lack of a complete date is normal for the variety; the Ford, Taylor, and Perkins examples had a similar problem. A nice example of this tough variety. Weight 130.1 grains. The attribution and Twin Leaf provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
