Sharpness VF30 or better where the designs were properly struck up, but the planchet is dark and covered with fine to moderate granularity. Traces of verdigris can be found in a couple places and the only contact marks are a couple light hairline scratches at the waist of Liberty. The rim is uneven at the top of the obverse thanks to a couple planchet voids. Slightly glossy dark olive brown and steel with small splashes of reddish paint on both sides. In addition the attribution is noted in rather large letters & numbers in yellow ink on the left side of the obverse. Softly struck along the left edge of the obverse and the opposing area at the top of the reverse (the reverse is rotated 90 degrees CCW). The date is complete and easily readable although the 8 is poorly struck. Weight 138.4 grains.
