Very attractive glossy light brown on the devices and darker chocolate brown in the fields and protected areas. The planchet is mostly smooth but there are a few thin linear fissures on both sides, the strongest of these passing through the shield on the reverse. The date is strong and the legends are complete where not affected by the massive cud break on the reverse. The cud on this example is larger than on the preceding example encroaching into the shield and nearly obliterating the I in LIB. Evenly worn with a strong date and complete legends (where not affected by the cud). A very nice example of the "Fatal Break" variety, and it comes with an important provenance. Weight 89.2 grains.
