Mostly glossy light brown on the highpoints and medium reddish chocolate in the fields and protected areas. Overall smooth but there are traces of microscopic granularity on the reverse, mostly at LIB where there is a trace of verdigris. The planchet quality is above average with only trivial flaws on the obverse and none on the reverse. The date is tight to the edge of the planchet but easily readable. Later die state with swelling across the shoulder and bust. Weight 143.0 grains. Rather conservatively graded by PCGS in our opinion, possibly due to the swelling that weakened some of the details on the obverse. The attribution and Twin Leaf provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
