1773 Virginia Halfpenny Period after GEORGIUS Newman 25-M R2 MS64+Seven harp strings. Newman 25-M. This sharply struck late colonial near-Gem is a brilliant peach-red with blushes of dusky gray toning on the cheek. The eye appeal of this piece is amazing. The fields are proof-like and offer much reflectivity. The king's cheek and neck have mellowed slightly, and the upper shield has a bit of a weak strike, but the overall quality is exceptional. An outstanding example that is worthy to join a great collection of coppers.Pedigree: G2
