(1652-74) St. Patrick Farthing, Martin 1c.28-Ca.21, not in Griffee, Breen-208, R7 PCGS graded VF20. Variety with small letters in REX. Glossy light olive brown with some reddish brown toning in protected areas. The splasher is light golden brown and it covers more than half of the crown. Mostly smooth but there are traces of microscopic roughness in protected areas. Just a few contact marks including a short scratch on the harp strings and hairline scratches to the right of St. Patrick. All the marks are old and blended into the toning. Later die state with swelling on both sides, strongest just right of the X in REX. Struck slightly off center to the left. A die combination not found in the Griffee collection, but the obverse was used in an earlier die state on his G1-4/2i. Weight 79.8 grains.
